A few weeks ago, I was honoured to perform Cyril Scott’s First Piano Sonata on the Wigmore Hall stage - the very place it received its premiere almost 115 years ago!
On 5 April, Lyrita will release my new recording of this sonata, along with two beautiful miniatures by Scott. The second movement is now available to listen to on Spotify - this movement really showcases Scott’s exquisite harmonic language and grasp of piano textures… the perfect introduction to his music, I think.
